Basic knowledge

Security allows you to set the privacy and the protection of data by giving access rights to groups or users.

• User : individual in a society identified by its Login
• Group : set of users who have the same job or the same functional needs.
• Profile : combination of access rights. A profile is then associated with users or groups, who will benefit from the rights defined for this profile.

You can create all your groups, users and profiles and their parameters via an Excel file.

To initialize your configuration, the principle is:

1. generate a template Excel file, based on examples, that you put in an initialization directory (Security > Create Excel Security Template File...),
2. modify this file with your own data,
3. load this file in the PLM Manager (Security > Load Excel Security File...)
